About

Shortly after the diagnosis, my husband sent me a quote:

“A worried mom does better research than the FBI”

My son was 21 months when diagnosed with Sensory Processing Disorder, his little sister was 6 weeks old.  This blog is my therapy because for those of you who have experience with a special needs child know that us mom’s have no time to take care of ourselves with all of the OT, ST, DT, EI, GFCF in our lives.

My cover photo and title of the blog refers to what I deal with every second of my life.  Sensory Overload.  The photo shows so much going on in my living room that I am even overwhelmed.  After my son was diagnosed with SPD, I immediately became obsessed with finding out everything about it, what can be done to help, what other parents have done, what sensory tools and books would help.  There’s not a day that goes by that I’m not preaching to my husband about sensory issues, treatments, research I found that we should try,… Sensory Overload.
